Finding New maps for the Body and better Fitness

Laban’s Space Harmony are rich maps describing all the possible ways the body moves in space. A ballet dancer uses different maps than a golfer. Sometimes our personal maps are a little off and could lead to injuries. Bartenieff Fundamentals(™) are tools to improve the roads for successful travel of the body. If a client has a stiff spine, their map is off for playing games like tennis and golf. Even coming up from the floor requires the ability to move well at all our joints.
This November Movements Afoot starts a series of workshops and classes improving our maps of movement. Applications will be made to our movement and fitness: golf, pilates, yoga, dance, tc.
