Core to Arms: Hand –
Scapula Relationship to the Core

April 7-10

We are going to start the class waking up the rotator cuff muscles.  Learning how to center the humeral head in the socket is essential for healthy shoulder mechanics.  Many of the cues of pressing the shoulders down kick out the healthy timing of the rotator cuff  muscles.  Improving the timing of the shoulder girdle bones can connect you to your core differently.

Embodied Anatomy is an explorations of sensing your body in different ways. It invites different qualities of tone and texture. Developing better skills of interoception is understanding and feeling what is happening inside our bodies.

These classes will take concepts of the anatomy and biomechanics of the body and applying it to movement. Embodied anatomy is the learning through physical movement, imagery and the senses.  It is the discovery about the spaces inside your body.
